My children King and Bryn joined Summit Academy in September 2021 for gr. 7 and gr. 4 respectively. Prior to attending Summit, they had attended French Immersion in Squamish, international bilingual schools in Costa Rica, public school in Pemberton and home schooling. Our time spent at international private schools left us wanting to re-create that experience in Canada. Summit Academy has proved to be just what we were looking for. The smaller class sizes and focus on each individual student’s learning needs has allowed our children to excel. The teachers get to know each of their students. Parent-teacher conferences and report cards made it very clear that our child’s strengths were being acknowledged, as well as weaknesses. They are encouraged to develop and improve areas they were not as naturally gifted in. This small school has become like a family and we are so excited that an opportunity like this now exists in Whistler.
